A Glimpse into Life: Updates from Texas

Life in Texas has certainly been an adventure, especially with the summer heat officially making its grand entrance. We are quite literally “sweating our brains off” over here, if you catch my drift! Just last week, I optimistically decided to take the kids on a walk to the park, thinking that 88°F wasn’t *too* bad. Well, let me tell you, within a mere 30 minutes, we were all sticky, sweaty, and definitely not looking our best. It was a quick lesson in just how intense a Texas summer can be!

Despite the scorching temperatures, we’ve been busy making our rented house feel more like home. It’s an older property with charming hardwood floors and tile throughout, which gives it a lovely character. To add some warmth, style, and a touch of personal flair, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect rugs. I recently purchased this beautiful rug for our living room, which instantly transformed the space and added a cozy anchor. For my son’s bedroom, I found this fantastic rug, bringing both comfort and a pop of color.
