Midweek Delight

Hello, wonderful readers! I hope this message finds you well, happy, and, most importantly, healthy. In these unprecedented times, it’s easy to lose track of the days, and our routines have certainly shifted for many of us. But through it all, there’s immense strength and resilience to be found, not just in ourselves, but in the global community.

Amidst the worries and uncertainties, I’ve been truly uplifted by the sheer volume of good happening around us. Humanity shines brightest in moments of challenge, and it’s inspiring to witness countless acts of kindness, generosity, and community spirit emerging worldwide. People are good, and that’s a powerful reminder to hold onto.

One of the most delightful aspects of this period has been the innovative ways organizations and individuals are bringing joy and connection into our homes. Zoos and aquariums, for instance, have opened up their worlds with captivating live footage and educational “penguin cams,” allowing us to connect with nature and wildlife from our living rooms. Similarly, celebrities and artists are hosting mini-concerts and performances right from their homes, offering much-needed entertainment and a sense of shared experience. I’ve personally been loving Jimmy Fallon’s at-home version of The Tonight Show – it’s a testament to creativity and adaptability!

On a more personal note, my current obsession in the realm of treats has been the delightful Peanut Butter M&M Eggs. Seriously, these are a game-changer! I picked up three bags last Saturday, and we’re already down to one. The magic lies in the generous amount of peanut butter packed into these egg-shaped candies, making them taste infinitely better than the year-round Peanut Butter M&M’s. If you haven’t tried them, you’re missing out on a truly superior chocolate and peanut butter experience!

To combat the inevitable cabin fever, my family and I have adopted a routine of going on walks twice a day. This simple act has been an absolute saving grace. Stepping outside, breathing fresh air, and getting some exercise does wonders for both mental clarity and physical well-being. It’s amazing how much a change of scenery, even just around the neighborhood, can refresh your outlook when you’re spending so much time indoors.

How about you? What creative strategies, small joys, or new routines have you discovered to keep yourselves busy, happy, and engaged during this unique period? I’d love to hear your ideas in the comments below!
